On December 2, 2021, Ketapanen Kitchen Catered for Illinois 56th District Representative Michelle Mussman.
We provided a breakfast buffet featuring French Toast Casserole, Maple Pecan French Toast Casserole, Cheesy Hashbrowns & Ham Casserole, Sauteed Veggie Egg Scramble, Fresh Fruit, Fresh Breads (Bannock Rolls, Frybread Rolls, Brioche Butter Rolls, Sweet Corn Cakes & Croissants), Mini Muffins (Blueberry, Strawberry, Banana & Chocolate Chip), Fruit Preserves (Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry & Blackberry), Orange Juice & Coffee.
I did my baking yesterday and I've been in the kitchen since 3 am making sure everything was perfect. And I do this all by myself. I don't have a kitchen staff. I'm on 3 hours of sleep and I'm beyond exhausted. After service, I'm taking a nice long nap. I can't wait!
At close of the event..
Another successful catering job in the books. Made some great connections, wonderful women doing amazing work in their communities. My business isn't just about making money... It's a business that's community-driven. I don't want to just sell my menus, I want to serve the communities that I work in. As much as I receive, I want to give back. It's a value that's been instilled in me my whole life... To be a helper.
The food I prepared today fed a collective of community helpers. When the meeting was over I packed up all the leftovers for one of the attendees. She was delivering them to two Shelters.
It makes my heart feel good knowing that people in need will get to enjoy a delicious, healthy meal made with lots of love, good feelings, and prayers.
